My mother would often tell me I put the cart before the horse. She was right. I would think or step too far ahead than where I actually was; in the waiting.
The yearning for hopes and desires can be like a desert without rain when deferred days, months, or even years without an answer or fruition. I find it hard to stay patient in the waiting. Visually, hope is like the colors of spring and summer. And the longer the wait is like a desolate Michigan winter.
But in the waiting, even through the thick of affliction a transformation happens when you align your life for His ways, there blooms a beautiful story of “perseverance, character; and character, hope.” (Romans 5:4)
