I am awake in darkness, silently reading a letter from you; remembering as much as I can, word for word, for I know I will forget when morning comes. Gradually, the black keystrokes come alive in a deep voice, which I imagine is yours.
“Keep pressing in” you encourage, “I’m on the verge of breaking, keep pushing me.” I read and re-read the words over and over, trying hard to move my eyes forward, but there is too much for me to comprehend, in such little time.
I fight to stay near your voice, as the light comes for me; reaching deep into darkness, pulling me from the emotions I am feeling. Familiar sounds begin to resonate, stirring fluttering eyelids awake; blinking once, twice, three times, while your voice echoes in my mind, “Keep pressing in, I’m on the verge of breaking, keep pushing me.”
Aaaw i would like to read some letter, old, forgoten.Beautiful💝
Thank you.
