Your body doesn’t recuperate as fast as it once did.
After my volleyball game last night, I crashed hard. My dream state I can’t really recall, but I know I was way into what was going on behind these eyelids, then…an annoying sound plucked me from my sleep. With one eye open, I rolled over to turn off my alarm, sat up and slid off the bed. My feet touched the floor and for a brief moment, I was rested and ready to tackle the day. As soon as I took a step, muscle fibers began to shout at me, my body shifted to accommodate the parts that weren’t rested enough to yoke upon those that were stronger and more vibrant.
By mid-day, I should be moving as though nothing happened, back to normal, until tomorrow morning when I get to start this cycle all over.
